The decision to bowl after winning the toss backfired spectacularly on Jammu and Kashmir as Jharkhand posted a stiff 179 for 4 in their 20 overs. J&K could only manage 103/7 in reply.
Shasheem Rathor and Saurabh Tiwary were the standout performers notching up half-centuries for Jharkhand. While Rathor scored a 50 off 41 deliveries, Tiwary was the top run- getter with an unbeaten 57 off a mere 30 balls.
Rahil Sambyal was the most successful J&K bowler with figures of 2/43. In reply, opener Ian Dev Singh's 67 was the lone noteworthy contribution as Jammu and Kashmir were let down by their other batsmen.
For Jharkhand, Vikash Singh, Sonu Singh and Shahbaz Nadeem picked up two wickets apiece to rip through the Jammu and Kashmir line-up.
