London: To commemorate pop diva Lady Gaga's maiden visit to Taiwan, the government officials have declared July 3 as 'Lady Gaga Day'.

The government officials have made the announcement in honour of the star's highly-anticipated performance in Taichung, a website reported.

Gaga, 25, who is famous for her unique style of stage presence, will perform before 4,000 fans in Taichung as part of a five-day promotional tour of Taiwan.

The streets of Taichung will be decorated with flags featuring the pop star's photograph besides a creativity contest which will be held for fans to show off designs inspired by the 'Poker Face' hitmaker.
