Islamabad: The Taliban have killed 21 Pakistani security personnel whom they abducted a few days ago from a check post, a media report said on Sunday.

Their bodies, riddled with gunshot wounds, were found in Hassan Khel area near Peshawar.

The militant group claimed responsibility for the killing, an agency quoted a news channel.

On Wednesday night, the Taliban attacked two check posts near Peshawar, killing two security personnel and kidnapping 23 others. Two of them had escaped from their custody.
