Chennai: Tamil Nadu Governor K Rosaiah on Tuesday greeted Hamid Ansari on being re-elected as Vice-President for second time, saying his "rich administrative acumen would set the wheels of nation's progress and prosperity".

"Please accept my heartiest congratulations on your re-election as Vice Presdient of India. Your rich knowledge, wealth of experience and your administrative acumen will set the wheels of our nation's progress and prosperity in motion towards the path of growth and sustainable development", he said in a release.

Ansari, an UPA candidate, was today re-elected as the Vice President, becoming the second person to get the second consecutive term as he defeated NDA nominee Jaswant Singh by a margin of 252 votes.
