Tamil Nadu Directorate of Government Examination ( DGE TN ) : The Tamil Nadu Board will finally announce  SSLC Class 10th results 2014 today 23rd May 2014 at 10 a.m. on Friday, over 10 lakh students who appeared for the State-board class X (SSLC) examination in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry will get to see the outcome of their hard work and efforts over the past year. The students can check the results on the official website of the board (tnresults.nic.in), once they are declared. The candidates must insert the roll number along with the date of birth in order to check their respective results.

The Tamil Nadu Class 10 examinations were conducted in the month of March wherein nearly 10,38,876  students participated from Tamil Nadu and Puducherry . In 2013, girls had outshone boys, where the overall pass percentage of the students reached 88.1 per cent. Previously, this month Tamil Nadu Board of Higher Secondary Education (TNBSE) had declared the results for Higher Secondary (Class XII) TN/HSC for 2014 on May 9, 2014.(tnresults.nic.in)

Procedure to check your TN 10th SSLC Board Exam Result 2014

· Students can access their results on www.tnresults.nic.in, www.dge1.tn.nic.in, www.dge2.tn.nic.in, www.dge3.tn.nic.in ,www.jagranjosh.com.

· Those  having Smartphone's can access their results through www.dge1.tn.nic.in.

· Students can also avail  their results by sending sms - ‘TNBOARD <registration no>, <DOB in DD/MM/YYYY format> to 09282232585. The facility will be available post 10 a.m. on Friday.BSNL  subscribers can register by sending ‘SSLC <space> <registration number> to 53576.(Charges applicable)

· Students can also find out results from their schools, national informatics centres at the district collector’s offices, and district and branch libraries.

The Government of Tamil Nadu have constituted a new Board for School Examination viz Tamil Nadu State Board of School Examination" by merging the existing two separate boards , Board of Secondary Education and Board of Higher Secondary Examinations.
The directorate of government examinations was formed as a separate executive in Feb 1975. Previously the directorates of government examinations were in Madras. Thus, the government of Tamil Nadu has formed an entirely new board of school examination by combining the two existing separate boards i.e. board of secondary education and board of higher secondary examinations school education department.
