Krishika said contrary to the perception about Bollywood reboots, the latest version of Anand L Rai's hit 2011 film of the same name will present an original sequel.

"'Tanu Weds Manu 2' is an extension of its previous part. It's actually a real sequel where Kangana and Madhvan are again playing the lead roles. It continues where it ended unlike the sequels we have in Bollywood where either the storyline is changed or the leads are replaced with other actors," Krishika said.

The new movie is currently in the shooting stage and is left with its Haryana schedule in April after finishing elaborate filming in Lucknow.
'Tanu Weds Manu 2' is slated to hit theatres on May 22.

Asked the reason behind coming up with the sequel of 'Tanu Weds Manu' after a gap of four years, Krishika said, "We had the synopsis of the script with us for quite sometime. But Anand and I got busy with 'Raanjhnaa'. The moment we finished it, we were back for 'Tanu Weds Manu 2'."
