New delhi: In a sensational revelation, Bangladeshi author Taslima Nasreen has alleged Bangla Sahitya Academy Chairperson Sunil Gangopadhyaya of sexually harassing her. On the other hand Sunil Gangopadhyay has debunked the allegations made against him.

Actually, Taslima who has been protesting the ban imposed on Najrool Islam’s book written on Muslims, is unhappy with Gangopadhyay for showing double standards.

Taslima in a tweet said that Gangopadhyay who is opposing the ban on Najrool Islam’s book is the same man responsible for getting her book Dwikhandito banned. She further tweeted that Gangopadyay is a very influential man and nobody can dare to stand against him.

Replying to Taslima’s accusitions, Gangopadhyaya said that he does not care about such baseless accusations. He questioned that if the charges of sexual harassment were right, then why the Bangladeshi writer kept silent for over one decade. “I am not on twitter and what’s transpiring there, does not concern me,” Gangopadhyaya added.
