Site and facility management, water efficiency, energy efficiency, health and comfort and innovation are the five stated categories, a top official said on Monday.

Bombay House, which is located in Mumbai, was built in 1923. It is the headquarters of the Tata Group that comprises over 100 operating companies in seven business sectors, communications and information technology, engineering, materials, services, energy, consumer products and chemicals.

Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Tata Housing, Brotin Banerjee, addressing a media conference said Bombay House has become India's first heritage building to get the prestigious "IGBC Green Existing Building Gold" rating by the Indian Green Building Council (IGBC).

The council has given the rating under its IGBC Green Existing Buildings rating system.
