Based on an extensively modified version of the Indica's platform, the Zica will be positioned below the Bolt, and will replace the Indica in the private passenger vehicles market. It will rival small hatchbacks like the Hyundai i10, Maruti Celerio and the Chevrolet Beat.

The hatchback underpins a slightly modified XO platform, and likely to be introduced as replacement to the ageing Indica eV2.
