Patna:  In order to boost the sales of dream car ‘Nano’, Tata Motors is all set to launch its diesel version. Tata Group chairman Ratan Tata, who was in the state capital to promote the dream car, said this at a promotional event on Friday.

The sales figure of Nano dipped by 64 percent to 3264 units in the month of July as compared to last fiscal.

Given the deep plunge in Nano sales, Tata Group chairman Ratan Tata has taken it on himself to promote the dream car.

He handed over keys of ‘Nano’ cars to 24 new customers at the event.

Buoyed by the relatively better sale of the car in Bihar, Ratan Tata held a meeting here with his executives to improve the sales further.

During the meeting, it was decided to launch ‘Feel the Nano’ scheme under which new customers of Nano could drive to the nearest resort free of cost.

Ratan Tata is likely to visit other cities including Guwahati, Vijaywada and Cochin to promote Nano.
