According to the company, Nano suffered from brand imagination which laid to sharp decline in its sale. On top of that, cases of the car catching fire gave bad impression about it.

The other setback Nano is facing is the lengthy waiting period for customers buying the vehicle.

Meanwhile, reports are coming that that Tata has upgraded the safety features of the car in its new model.

Tata Nano Twist Active, with redesigned front and rear bumpers alongwith openable tailgate, is expected to launch by end of 2014, along with Nano Twist AMT F-Tronic.

According to reports, price of Nano Twist Active could be in the range of Rs. 2.38 lakhs to Rs. 2.45 lakhs (ex-showroom Delhi); that of Nano AMT could be Rs. 2.50 lakhs to Rs. 2.65 lakhs.
