Lucknow: The Uttar Pradesh Basic Education Board has invited online applications for filling up of 72, 825 posts for primary teacher in 75 districts of the state. The state-run schools under Basic Education Board are facing a huge staff crunch.

The government has decided to recruit trainee teachers on the vacant posts and extended the last date for filling online applications to January 7. Now, the list of eligible candidates will be published on January 22 instead of January 15. The counseling will start from January 28.

The government has directed Secretary, Basic Education Board and National Informatics Centre (NIC) to ensure the uninterrupted functioning of software.
Earlier, the candidates faced difficulty in filling online applications due to technical snag in the servers.
