Bollywood also encashed this special relationship between teachers and students and celebs played the roles of 'gurus' on the big screen.

Here, we bring you some of the famous Bollywood stars who turned professors on the silver screen:

Amitabh Bachchan:

The legendary actor was seen as a teacher twice on the silver screen. In 'Black', Amitabh focussed on a blind and deaf girl (Rani Mukherji) and  helped her change her outlook to the world. In 'Aarakshan', Amitabh played role of a tough Principal who always stood by his students.

Shah Rukh Khan:

The most romantic actor of Bollywood played the role of a music teacher in the famous movie 'Mohabbatein' released in 2000. SRK played the role of 'Raj Aryan' who apart from giving music lessons, also played the role of a 'love guru' to his students.

Aamir Khan:



Everyone would love to have a teacher like 'Ram Shankar Nikumbh' from the 2007 release movie 'Taare Zameen Par'.  Aamir gave a new definition to the word 'Teacher' through this movie. Also, this movie showed the perfect bond between a teacher and a student.

Sushmita Sen:



Sushmita Sen played the role of a most glamorous chemistry teacher 'Miss Chandni' in 2004 released movie 'Main Hoon Na '. With her appealing looks and her bright coloured chiffon sarees, Sushmita definitely changed the perception about the female teachers.


Boman Irani:



Who can forget the famous 'Virus' aka  Viru Sahastrabuddhe from the 2009 blockbuster '3 Idiots'. Boman played the role of a strict college dean who only believed in results and excellence.

Shahid Kapoor:



The chocolate boy of Bollywood also played the role of an English teacher in 2010 released movie 'Paathshaala'. Shahid portrayed the role of 'Rahul Prakash Udyavar' who always motivated and inspired his students by being their perfect friend.


Chitrangada Singh:



Chitrangada played the role of 'Tanya Sharma' in 2011 released movie 'Desi Boyz'. This economics professor was the one who made guys drool over her.
