The former managing editor of Tehelka, who arrived here on Friday night, appeared before the Judicial Magistrate First Class Panaji on Saturday where her statement would be recorded through the day.

Tejpal will also be produced in court later in the day as his six-day long custody ends on Saturday.

Goa Police is expected to seek Tejpal’s extension for a week more. Tejpal has been accused of allegedly raping a junior colleague at a Goa resort last month.
