Noida: After arresting Uttar Pradesh government's ‘most wanted man’ and farmer leader of Kishan Sangharsh Samiti, Manveer Tewatia, the police has now focused on the people who gave shelter to the absconding leader.

During the investigations, the name of the women friend who accompanied him and the caretaker of the house where Tewatia was hiding have come to the fore and the police is now busy collecting all the evidences against them. Following the investigations, two different FIRs would be lodged against them.

Meanwhile, the police is yet to make a decision on taking Tewatia on remand.

The Uttar Pradesh police had arrested the farmer leader from Haus Khaz on Saturday, July 9. During the arrest, Tewatiya’s female friend Radha and the caretaker Sansar Chand managed to escape in an Esteem car.

SP city Ananth Dev said, “Tewatiya was staying in Sansar Chand’s house and Radha was helping him in his activities. So police will lodge FIRs against them.” He claimed that efforts are being made to take Tewatia on police remand for further interrogation.

Meanwhile, Radha has lodged a case of kidnapping against the Noida police. The officials of Noida police maintained that the Delhi police is yet to contact them in context to the case.
