New Delhi: Furious on Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav’s claim of building hospitals on the controversial parks, BSP supremo Myawati has warned him of severe consequences if he meddles with the statues and parks constructed during her rule.

However, giving a tough reply to the former Chief Minister, Akhilesh said, “No one should object on making good use of the space lying vacant in the parks.” Moreover, the 48 officials deployed for the maintenance of the parks have also been transferred.

Addressing the BSP supporters on the occasion of Ambedkar Jayanti, Mayawati said, “If the state government carries out any new construction in the parks, it can lead to an outburst among the party members which can disturb the law and order situation in the state.”

She said, the BSP government did not interfere in the parks and memorials made by the Mulayam Singh Yadav government and therefore, the current Samajwadi Party government must take a lesson from the same.

Clearing his stand on the issue, Akhilesh said, “We have no intentions of harming the parks and the statues but the vacant 3,000 acres of land should be used for building an educational institute or a hospital. Nobody should object to this noble idea.”
