"During interrogation, the accused, who were known to the constable, alleged that the constable was bisexual and had sexually exploited one of them. It was further alleged that he was lately trying to coerce another accused to give in to his demands," said DCP (Outer), Vikramjit Singh.

One of the accused further claimed that the constable had tried to get close to his sisters whereupon the trio allegedly planned to kill him, added Singh.

On Friday night, the accused invited the constable to join them for drinks outside an eatery at Kanjhawla. When they ran out of liquor, the group decided to drive to a shop on the outer fringes of the city.

There the trio allegedly made the constable drink till he almost passed out and then drove the car to a secluded spot where they allegedly beat him to death, said Singh. After committing the alleged crime, the accused fled the spot leaving the constable and the car behind.

Singh further said that locals had last seen the constable with the three accused. When police launched a search for the trio, they found that the trio was missing since Friday evening.

"While one of the accused was arrested from a flat in Rohini Sector-1, the others were arrested from near Tikri border on Monday. They have been booked under Section 302 (murder) of IPC," said Singh.
