Guwahati: Three persons were killed and more than 90 people injured in three mishaps in different parts of Assam on Tuesday, police said.

A bus collided head-on with a truck on NH 31 near Bangalipara village under Bilasipara police station in Dhubri district killing two persons on the spot and injuring 37 others, they said.

 The dead have been identified as Palam Chandra Roy and Abu Bakr Siddeque and the injured have been admitted to Dhubri Civil Hospital where the condition of six persons was stated to be critical.

In another accident, two speeding trucks collided head-on at Boko in Kamrup(Rural) district killing one person, Bilal Ali, on the spot and critically injuring five others who have been admitted to Guwahati Medical College Hospital.

In another mishap, 50 people have been injured when the driver of the speeding bus lost control and the vehicle turne turtle at Ghagornagar in Lakhimpur district.

 The condition of six of the injured was critical and they have been admitted to Lakhimpur Civil hospital.
