Raipur: Three naxals were arrested after separate search operations in Chhattishgarh's Bijapur
district, police said on Monday.
    
"Oyam Munna (30) was nabbed after an encounter between a joint team of security forces and the Maoists in the forest area of Gangalur police station area yesterday," Superintendent of Police Prashant Agrawal said.
    
During the combing operation by Special Task Force and District police force in the forests of Gangalur police station area, naxals opened indiscriminate firing on seeing the troopers near Irmagunda village, the SP said.
    
In retaliation, when security personnel opened fire, naxals fled the jungle while one of them was rounded up, he added.
    
In another operation by the joint party of Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) and district police, two others Kunjam Nagaiya (28) and Mandra Lingaiya (30) were arrested from the jungles of Madded police station area, Agarwal said.
    
The arrested are being interrogated, he added.
