Tips to protect skin during summer

Summer brings with it a lot of sunny woes, tanning being the main cause of concern for many. Our skin gets tanned when the UV rays of sun penetrate our skin and causes harm to its fibre which is known as elastine. These fibers help to maintain the tightness of our skin. But prolonged exposure to sun may tear these fibres which reducing the skin firmness. If once, the firmness is lost, it is very hard to regain the original texture of skin. So, here are a few tips which will help you regain the lost firmness of the skin and allow you the luxury to bask in sun.

How sun rays affect your skin:

Skin becomes prone to
-Cancer
- Benign tumors
-Wrinkles
- Paleness
- Black spots

How to protect your skin from sun burn?

-Apply a sun screen with SPF 30 at least 30 minutes before venturing out of your house
-Apply cosmetics which have UV protection
-Try to wear full-sleeve dresses to cover most of your body parts
-Apply tinted moisturizer or lacto calamine
-Avoid sun rays especially between 10am – 3pm as during this time period the UV rays of sun are very strong and can severely damages your skin 
-Drink cucumber juice, coconut-water, carrot juice or green tea as these also protects skin from the harmful effects of sun rays.
