New Delhi: Trinamool Congress (TMC) MPs on Monday protested outside Parliament House demanding capping on LPG gas cylinders to be increased to 24.

TMC Parliamentary party leader Sudip Bandhopadhyaya along with other members sat on the staircase outside the Parliament House holding placards mentioning ‘AITC demands 24 subsidised LPG cylinders’ and raised slogans protesting against UPA government for its decision of providing only 6 subsidized cooking gas cylinders annually.

Opposing UPA government’s move, TMC leaders said that the decision of providing only 6 gas cylinders in a year is anti-poor. It will adversely affect the Lower and lower middle class people, added the TMC leader. The UPA government has been targeted over capping subsidized cylinders.
