Chief Minister Jayalalithaa has ordered the extension of the deadline, which ended on 15th October, since the work on providing new tariff cards to the drivers and fixing meters was yet to be completed, an official release said on Wednesday.
As on October 10, a total of 61,235 autorickshaws out of the total 71,470 vehicles have been given the tariff card by the transport department, the release said.
