Kolkata: Country's top golfers, including three-time Indian Open champion Jyoti Randhawa, will be seen in action in the PGTI's year-ender McLeod Russel Tour Championship at the RCGC from Wednesday.
Only top 60 players on the official Rolex Rankings will be eligible for the meet as the organisers said the championship would carry a prize purse of Rs 1.25 crore, the highest-ever in India.
The top names in the field also include local favourite and a two-time winner on the European Tour SSP Chowrasia, Asian Tour regulars Anirban Lahiri, Sujjan Singh, Digvijay Singh, reigning Rankings champion Chiragh Kumar,current leader Shamim Khan.
The other established names from the PGTI circuit include Mukesh Kumar, Ashok Kumar, Gaurav Ghei, Rashid Khan, Harendra Gupta, Om Prakash Chouhan, Vinod Kumar, Sri Lankans Mithun Perera and Anura Rohana and Bangladesh's Mohammad Zamal Hossain Mollah.
Chaurasia will lead the local challenge while RahilGangjee, former Indian Open champion Feroz Ali Mollah, ShankarDas and Raju Ali Mollah will be the ones to watch out for.
