Nokia Lumia 1020

Targeting camera aficionados, Nokia India unveiled its much-anticipated 41 mega-pixel camera phone Lumia 1020. The smartphone is priced at Rs 49,999. Lumia 1020 runs on Windows 8 operating system and has 32 GB on board storage. Lumia 1020 is powered by a 1.5GHz dual-core processor with 2GB RAM and sports a 4.5-inch display. Along with the 41 mega-pixel rear camera the phone also features a 1.2-megapixel front-facing camera.

Samsung Galaxy Round

Samsung Electronics Co Ltd on launched a variant of the popular Galaxy Note smartphone with a curved display, moving a step closer to introducing wearable devices with flexible screens. The Galaxy Round's 5.7-inch (14.4-centimetre) display has a slight horizontal curve and weighs less than the Galaxy Note 3, allowing a more comfortable grip than other flat-screen models on the market.

Apple iPhone 5s and 5c

The iPhone 5s comes in gold, silver and space grey and the iPhone 5c comes in blue, green, pink, yellow and white. A contract-free and unlocked 16GB version of the iPhone 5c is available for USD 549 (about Rs 34,700) in US, while an unlocked and contract-free iPhone 5s can be bought in US for USD 649 (about Rs 41,000).

HTC Desire 500

Taiwanese handset maker HTC launched Desire 500 in India, priced at Rs 21,490.The mid range smartphone runs on Android 4.2 operating system with HTC sense 5 and HTC BlinkFeed. The phone is powered by a 1.2 GHz Qualcom Snapdragon 200 quad-core processor along with a 1GB RAM.

HTC One Mini

The Taiwanese handset manufactures, HTC, launched the ‘mini’ version of its flagship smartphone, HTC One Mini, in India. The smartphone comes with a price tag of Rs 36,790. The HTC One Mini mirrors its predecessor, HTC One in terms of design. It features a mini version of the BoomSound speakers. The smartphone comes with a 4.3-inch S-LCD3 display with 720x1280 pixels resolution.

Sony Xperia C

The phablet comes with a price tag of Rs 21,490.The Sony Xperia C comes with a 5 inch TFT capacitive touch screen display with 960 x 540 pixels resolution. The display screen is scratch resistant and supports multi touch and gesture input. The smartphone is powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6589 processor and 1 GB RAM.

BlackBerry Z30

In a fresh bid to check its falling market share, smartphone maker BlackBerry unveiled Z30 which features its latest operating system 10.2 version in India priced at Rs 39,990.

Nokia unveils 4G-enabled Lumia 2520 tablet, five new smartphones

Nokia announced five new smartphones and its entry in the tablet segment with launch of 4G enabled Nokia Lumia 2520, widening its portfolio to better compete with larger rivals Samsung and Apple. Nokia also unveiled its first smartphones with 6 inch screen size, Nokia Lumia 1320 and 1520, priced at USD 339 (about Rs 21, 000) and USD 749 (about Rs 46,000) before taxes. While Elop announced that Nokia Lumia 1320, which has 5 MP rear camera will be available in India in first quarter of 2014, the Lumia 1520 which has 20 megapixel camera will start selling in leading countries from this quarter namely Hong Kong, Singapore, China, UK, France and other European market.

LG G Pro Lite

LG’s G Pro Lite dual-SIM Android smartphone is priced at Rs 22,990. The LG G Pro Lite comes with dual-SIM support with dedicated hot key and also bundles a stylus. The LG G Pro Lite features a 5.5-inch IPS display with a qHD resolution of 540x960 pixels. It is powered by a 1GHz dual core MediaTek 6577 processor along with 1GB of RAM.

AR Rehman theme smartphone: AR45

Celkon Mobiles launched an AR Rehman themed smartphone, AR45 one of the smartphones from the ‘RahmanIshq’ series. The smartphone sports a 9.9mm slim design and a 4.5 inch display. The phone runs on Android Jelly Bean 4.2.2 operating system and is powered by 1.2 GHz dual core A7 processor. AR45 comes with dual speakers with K-class amplifier to give its users a never before musical experience. Equipped with a 5MP rear camera with a smile detector, AR455 promises the users an outstanding shooting experience.
