Patna: As part of an initiative to bring Bihar on the World Tourism Map, the state government will organise road-shows in South Asian countries of Sri Lanka, Singapore, Thailand and Japan.

The move is aimed at attracting tourists from India and abroad to visit a transformed Bihar. The state government is hopeful of reaching an accord with the Centre on the issue.

In the past, the state government has been taking such initiatives to attract tourists.
Working upon the idea, the state government has started keeping a tab on tourist inflow to the state.

As per Tourism Minister of Bihar, Sunil Kumar Pintu, efforts are being made to seek a prior approval from the Centre for organising road-shows in several states.

People are being informed about tourist locations, including climate of the state, natural scenery and prevailing law and order situation in the state.
 
Apart from this, a number of tour operators have been roped in to brief people about the facilities available in the state.
