New Delhi: Taking a stringent action against men-in-khadi flouting norms, the Delhi Traffic police have issued challans to two Congress parliamentarians Mahabal Mishra and Ramesh Kumar and two Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) legislators on charges of using beacon light on their respective vehicles.

Few days back a person identified as Manoranjan Kumar had uploaded the image of the West Delhi MP Mahabal Mishra’s vehicle DL 2FFS 0001 with a beacon light on the social website Facebook.

Joint Police Commissioner (Traffic), Satyendra Garg said, “The action was initiated against the parliamentarians because they were found guilty of flouting the norms mentioned in the Motor Vehicle Act.”

In addition, Outer Delhi MP Ramesh Kumar’s vehicle with beacon light was spotted at the Ashoka Road. On charges of non-compliance of Motor Vehicle Act norms, a challan was issued against him.

On similar charges, the Traffic Police issued challan to BJP legislatures Harcharan Singh Balli and Srikrishna Tyagi, who represent Hari Nagar and Burari constituencies respectively.
