New Delhi: The Trinamool Congress on Friday sought the voting in Parliament over the FDI in multi-retail.

Earlier, all the six TMC ministers in UPA government submitted their resignation to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh over the issue. Later they met President Pranab Mukherjee at Rashtrapati Bhawan to hand over the letter of withdrawl.

Talking to reporters, TMC leader Mukul Roy said, “Our party does not want confidence vote but want vote on FDI in the Parliament.”

In another major development, the Samajwadi Party has bailed out the government by extending support the government.

SP supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav said, “We have decided to support the UPA to keep the communal forces out of power.”

During the UPA’s first tenure, the SP had bailed out the Manmohan Singh government by extending 39 MPs when the CPI (M)-led left front had pulled out support on famous nuclear deal with US.
