New Delhi: Victims of rain-ravaged hill state of Uttarakhand are still waiting for food items, medicines and other materials released by the Congress party three days ago as the truck carrying relief materials have not yet reached the destination.

These fully loaded trucks are at present parked at Rishikesh in Uttarakhand because these trucks have run out of fuel. According to the truck drivers, they were not paid for fuel and so far no body from the party or the government has contacted them. What is worse, the drivers claim that they don’t even have money to pay for their meals.

Shockingly, the Congress has set up a control room at Dehradun to accelerate the relief work but no assistance has been offered to these drivers.

It is to be noted that, Congress president Sonia Gandhi and party Vice President Rahul Gandhi on Monday flagged off 24 truckloads of relief supplies in addition to the 125 trucks already sent to Dehradun.
