Soon after TRS chief K Chandrasekhar Rao took over as the first Chief Minister of the state, warm greeting started pouring in from all quarters.

Micro-blogging site Twitter was abuzz with good wishes for the new government of Telangana.

Governor ESL Narasimhan administered the oath of office and secrecy to Rao and 11 other Cabinet members at a ceremony held at the Raj Bhavan in Hyderabad this morning.

The TRS won 63 of the 119 assembly seats in Telangana in the recent elections while Naidu's Telugu Desam Party, along with ally BJP, bagged 106 of the 175 assembly seats in Seemandhra.

Former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh greets people of Telangana

Former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, under whose government the decision to carve out a separate state of Telangana was taken, today greeted the people of the region on the eve of its formation day.
In a message to state governor E S L Narasimhan, he wished the people of the new state a "glorious future and sustained prosperity".
Karuna greets TRS chief Chandrasekhar Rao

DMK president M Karunanidhi greeted K Chandrasekhar Rao on Sunday.
"I very heartily congratulate you on your winning majority in elections and assuming office as Chief Minister," Karunandihi said.
Praising Rao, the DMK chief said,"your wise moves and hard and sincere work have always kept you very near to the hearts of people."
Recollecting Rao's visits to Chennai in 2004 and the deliberations the DMK leader had with him on Telangana, Karunanidhi said "ultimately you have achieved your goal."
"Under your able leadership, I am quite confident that the new Telangana state will enjoy a very peaceful and useful governance."
