“We’re bringing you real-time notifications on twitter.com when someone is engaging with your Tweets,” the company said in a statement.

With this, the users will start receiving notifications if someone has replied, favorited or retweeted the Tweets. Twitter users will also be notified for direct messages and new followers.

“They’re fully interactive, so that you can reply, favorite, retweet, and follow right from the notification. We’ll be rolling this feature out over the coming weeks,” company statement added.

Users need to modify settings on the Twitter website in order to enable these notifications.
