Indore: Two bookies allegedly betting on IPL Rajasthan Royals vs Kings XI Punjab match through mobile phones were arrested in the Janata Quarter here late last night, the police said on Monday.
The duo, Rajesh Bhatia, and Manish Khatri were arrested with cash worth Rs 24,000, two mobile phones and diaries having betting transaction records worth Rs 3.5 lakh, Pardesipura police station in-charge Vinay Arya told.
They have been booked under Section 4A of the Gambling Act, he said. Their links with other bookies from other states are being traced, he said.
