Indore: Two BSF jawans were arrested for allegedly beating the staff at a restaurant here, misbehaving  with women customers and damaging furniture when they were refused permission to have liquor in a restricted area, police said on Wednesday.

A group of BSF jawans, who completed their training programme here yesterday, wanted to take liquor in the family area and when they were denied permission they indulged in violence, abusing and beating restaurant staffers around midnight, Banganga police inspector Musharraf Baig said.

Anoop Kumar and Rahul Mishra were arrested for assault, damaging furniture and misbehaving with women customers in the restricted area of the restaurant, he said.

Rajkumar Sharma, the owner of Guru Ashirwad restaurant on Sanver Road, lodged an FIR in the incident, he said.

The BSF office here was informed about the case, Baig said.
