Indore: Lokayukta Police on Thursday arrested two Madhya Pradesh Government employees for allegedly accepting bribe in separate incidents.

Jagdish Borode, a clerk in Indore Municipal Corporation (IMC), was caught while taking a bribe of Rs 3,000 from a person for extending favours with regard to his housing documents, a Lokayukta Police official said.

Manoj Bordia, an Assistant at Khandwa Government Hospital, was caught accepting a bribe of Rs 3,500 from a labourer for forwarding his medical claim under NREGA. The labourer had got injured during NREGA work and the district administration sanctioned medical relief to him, he said.

Lokayukta Police laid traps after receiving bribe complaints against the two Government officials, who have been booked under Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988.
