Gaya: Two pilgrims from Uttar Pradesh were killed and four others injured on Sunday when a bus rammed into a stationary truck at a market place near Aamas police station in Bihar's Gaya district, a police officer said.

The mishap took place as the driver of the bus lost apparently dozed off at wheels and the vehicle rammed into the truck from behind, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Akhtar Hassan said.

Two pilgrims, identified as Triveni Tiwari (57) andRamkripal Tiwari (60), were killed on the spot and four others - Raghocharan Tiwari, Devicharan, Rajendra and Yamuna Prasad - suffered injuries, he said.

The bus was carrying the pilgrims from Khalig village under Dehat Kotwali police station area in Uttar Pradesh's Gonda district for 'Pritipakcha mela' in Gaya district, Hassan said.
