The memorandum of understanding was signed by Mohammed Atiq Al Falahi, secretary general of UAE Red Crescent Authority, and Shamsheer Vayalil, managing director of Burjeel Hospital, at a ceremony on Tuesday.

As part of the understanding, Burjeel Hospital will not only provide medical services to needy patients nominated by the UAE's Red Crescent Authority, but will also support the authority's programmes on disease awareness, screening and training of volunteers.

The UAE Red Crescent will identify individuals and collaborate with charitable organizations across the region to nominate patients who are in need of medical treatment.
