Chandigarh: Haryana's power utility Uttar Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam on Thursday said it has decided to pay honorarium of Rs 500 per case to employees who help identify the address of major power defaulters.

The Nigam will also pay them 20 percent incentive of the recovered amount, an official release said. The decision to this effect was taken in the Operation Review Committee Meeting chaired by Chairman and Managing Director of Haryana Power Distribution Corporations Devender Singh in Chandigarh on Thursday, the release said.

He said the Nigam has set up as many as 885 complaint offices in villages to register power supply complaints. All these centres will be provided mobile telephone to register complaints round the clock.
