Dehradun: The Uttarakhand government has geared up to accommodate several Congress leaders and retired IAS officers into various commissions.
The retired IAS officers would be appointed to three seats lying vacant in State Public Service Commission, whereas four aspirants are in the race to occupy the plum posts.
The ruling party has been providing plum posts to its own leaders and appointing the retired IAS officers to important posts.
The two former chief secretaries of the state have been appointed as State Chief Information Commissioner and State Public Service Chairman respectively.
Uttarakhand Public Service Commission has four members apart from a Chairman. Out of these, one member is going to complete his tenure soon. Recently, the government has created two new posts in the State PSC.
Four officers including NS Negi, PS Gusai and Urbadat Chaubey are lobbying hard to occupy these posts.
