Haridwar: Uma Bharti on Wednesday ended her nine-day fast on Samagraha Ganga Abhiyan, following the assurance from Chief Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank that he won’t let the Dhani Devi Temple to get submerged due to the Hydel project in Srinagar (Pauri).

Uma Bharti, who sat on the fast nine days ago for saving Dhani Devi Temple and for the review of the dams being constructed on the Ganga river, said she is going to be tougher towards the Centre and added that she would unveil her strategy in this regard on Thursday.

After an hour close door meeting with Uma on Wednesday, CM while addressing the media said, “We won’t let the temple to submerge in the Ganga.”

According to him, a technical committee meeting will be convened to find out a mid path, adding the Uttarakhand government is with Didi (Uma Bharti) in her Save Ganga mission.

Uma by applauding the CM said, “By saving the Dhani Devi Temple from submergence, the Uttarakhand has set an ideal example. I will continue to fight for the people of Uttarakhand. I want that the state should grow and prosper.”

The CM offered a glass of juice to Uma to end her 9-day-long fast.
