Gazipur: The Bharatiya Janta Party stalwart Uma Bharti made scathing attack on recently expelled UP Family Welfare Minister Babu Singh Kushwaha and said that he can get place in the BJP if he takes the courage to unearth corruption that is rampant in Uttar Pradesh.

Addressing a programme in Ghazipur, Bharti said that Kushwaha is in the know of malpractices committed by ruling BSP government in the state. Notably, the Family Welfare Minister was sacked from the BSP owing to NRHM scam, deaths of CMOs.

Speaking on the partition of Uttar Pradesh, the BJP leader said that the party is in favour of small states considering the overall development but it is not the right time to split the state into four parts. She said it is just a political one-upmanship of the BSP.

She said, “Newly formed states like Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh and Uttarakhand came into existence during the BJP tenure.”

Bharti condemned Centre’s decision of 51 percent FDI in multi brand retail and said she will torch the foreign retail shops if they are established in the country.

She claimed that in the forthcoming assembly elections the BJP would emerge victorious in UP.
