Shahjahanpur: After her recent return to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), belligerent leader Uma Bharti on Saturday said, "Uttar Pradesh polls in 2012 are top priority for the party."

Announcing BJP’s political agenda for upcoming UP Assembly elections, Bharti claimed that prevailing corruption and lack of development are two major issues to be raised by the party.

Rather than communal based agenda, the BJP in its Mission 2012 will attack the state government for corruption.

However against her image of a fire brand leader, Bharti appeared a relaxed and a calm politician during her visit to Shahjahanpur.

Struggling to save BJP’s dignity in the state, Bharti attacked UP Chief Minister Mayawati.

Bharti maintained that rather than talking on national and issues of other states, she would focus her entire energy on UP politics.

Talking about Lakhimpur case, Bharti said Sonam murder case in Nighasan was a proof that BSP government was incompetent.

“I will meet family members of Sonam and will extend my support to them in their fight for justice,” added Bharti.

Bharti said that Nigamanand, who lost his life, was like her son and she will continue his struggle.

During the press meet, she calmly refused to answer any question on her re-induction in the party.
