New Delhi: Making all-out efforts to give nerve-wrecking fight to rivals, the BJP has decided to field high-end leaders like Uma Bharti, Kalraj Mishra and others veterans in the upcoming Assembly polls in Uttar Pradesh.

The BJP leadership has asked former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Uma Bharti and other leaders to select the seats of their choice. In a meeting held in Delhi, the core committee of BJP leaders has directed them to contest elections.

The committee discussed on 350 seats of the state, but they could finalize the name for 100 seats only.

They shortlisted two names for 175 seats and rest 75 seats are yet to be decided. The selected names will be forwarded to the state election committee and will be discussed by the central election committee.

BJP leaders also discussed about 50 seats to be given to the supporting parties. 30-35 will be granted to JD (U) and rest of the seats to smaller parties which will be fighting under BJP’s poll symbol.
