Bhopal: The Opposition Congress on Tueadsy announced to gherao Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan's residence this Thursday to "expose" ruling party's claims over development, malnutrition and corruption issues.

"Everybody in the state knows that the ruling BJP had made tall promises to the people before coming to power. However, it has conveniently forgotten all of them and to expose the government on all these issues, a large number of Congressmen will gherao the Chief Minister's residence on October 4," state Congress chief Kantilal Bhuria reporters on Tuesday.

Union Minister of State for Commerce and Industry Jyotiraditya Scindia and Congress General Secretary in-charge of Madhya Pradesh B K Hari Prasad would also take part in the protest, Bhuria said.

Congress General Secretary Digvijay Singh, however, would not be able to take part in the protest as he was going abroad for some personal work, he said adding that Union Urban Development Minister Kamal Nath's programme was yet to be finalised.
