Lucknow: In the wake of Mission 2012 and after witnessing the pro activeness of the BJP, SP and BSP in Uttar Pradesh, the Congress has now decided to showcase its strength as well.

With Rahul Gandhi leading from the front in Uttar Pradesh, the various committees constituted by Congress have increased their activities in the state. The Kranti Rath Yatra of Samajwadi Party state president Akhilesh Yadav and Swabhimaan Yatra of BJP stalwarts Rajnath Singh and Kalraj Mishra have already galvanised the political atmosphere in the state. Alarmed over the issue, the Congress has hit the accelerator in its poll campaign.

Directions have been issued in the Congress camp to speed up the election campaign related activities and increase the rallies of party seniors in the state.

Notably, Rahul Gandhi has already conducted three surprise visits in the Bundhelkhand area and has disclosed many loopholes in state government projects.

Continuing with his visits, Gandhi has decided to hold frequent meetings to keep up the activeness of his party workers.

Besides holding meetings, Gandhi will also hold road shows. In addition to direct interactions with the public, his focus would be on youth power. Gandhi is expected to hold a two day visit to UP starting from October 19.
