The board had announced the 2013 results for Class 10 examinations on June 8 last year, in which girls outdone the boys with 91.25% pass percentage as only 82.87% of total boy candidates passed the exam. In 2013, the UP Board class 10 examinations were conducted from 12 March to 03 April 2013, in which around 34 lakh students appeared and only 28.86 lakh passed.

The examinations for the UP Board High School (10th) were held between March 3 and March 21.

More than 39.93 Lakhs  of students had appeared for the examinations this year. According to the released date sheet, the UP Board Exams 2014 for Class 10 is going to start from 03 March 2014 and will finish on 21 March 2014.

Presently, there are around 9,121 secondary schools recognized by the UP Board of High School and Intermediate Education.
