Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav on Monday directed the state officials to accelerate implementation of schemes related to development and public welfare.

The government has released funds for development and welfare schemes, therefore no laxity would be tolerated in their implementation, he said in a review meeting.

Akhilesh said that he would take feedback from the district magistrates regarding development works in their respective district on random basis from November.

It will help in keeping update with progress of the development schemes, he said.

Akhilesh said that principal secretary and secretaries must ensure that fund released by the government reaches the district level offices of their departments concerned and was utilised properly.

He directed principal secretary to present a detailed report after review on fortnightly basis.

As monsoon was over all construction related development works should be implemented on war footing, he said.

Reviewing schemes funded by the Centre, he said that officials of those departments, which have not received fund so far, should take effective action and get the fund devolved.

He asked the officials to prepare an action plan to strengthen all government inter colleges and girls college.  Akhilesh directed officials to ensure a round the clock power supply to Agra medical college from an independent feeder.
