According to DMRC spokesperson Anuj Dayal, the civil work of expanded line of Yamuna Bank-Anand Vihar line till Vaishali is over.
“Finishing touches have been given to two metro stations-Kaushambi and Vaishali-on this line. We will begin trial work on this line by June-end and after 2-3 days Metro safety commissioner will inspect the track and signals,” he said.

The Anand Vihar Metro line which is running from last one year was expanded to Vaishali. GDA spent Rs 260 crore for this 2.7 km stretch.

This line was supposed to be completed by October 2010 in phase-I but it was delayed. The expanded line will bring relief to many commuters.

“The metro corporation has made parking arrangements on both sides of the metro station. 220 metre space is left for parking purposes and around 300 cars are expected to be parked here,” said Chaudhary.

He said that meeting will be held to provide feeder bus services to the commuters.
