"In order to improve the condition of different religious places of Brijbhumi especially Goverdhan, Brij Planning Development Board would be constituted. Arrangements would be made to supply round-the-clock power in Goverdhan," Yadav said at a function here.
He appreciated the renovation work of ancient Rudrakund in Jatipura under Goverdhan Parikrama and expressed his desire to renovate other 'kunds' (ponds) in this manner. He said a bypass would be developed in the area to ease traffic.
He also directed Mathura Vrindaban Development Authority to ensure development of Goverdhan and asked District Magistrate to ensure early preparation of DPR for sewer and four-laning of Mathura-Vrindaban road.

He also announced four-laning of Mathura-Goverdhan, and Kosi Barsana roads. Speaking on the occasion, Minister for Jails Rajendra Chaudhary lauded various welfare schemes of UP government.
At another function, the chief minister inaugurated radio taxi scheme for Agra city and gave a green signal to ten taxis which would help pilgrims who visit Agra.
He said the government is committed to developing Mathura museum at par with international standards. "To tap the tourist potential of Mathura, the government would develop facilities for tourists," he said.''

The Chief Minister also laid the foundation stone of 'Jan Suvidha Kendra' in Jatipura Goverdhan and Radha Kund.  In Vrindaban, the Chief Minister said a bicycle track would be constructed on Vrindaban-Chatikara road.

He also declared a grant of 1.1 crore for the repair of 'Ashray Sadan' where widows are housed.
He also announced free bus facility in state government buses for widows living in widow houses and Rs 1 crore for the welfare of widows of 'Ashray Sadan'.
