All departments have been roped in to provide requisite facilities to the villages.  In the first phase of Saansad Adarsh Gram Yojana, the spotlight of Akhilesh-led SP government will be on boosting the basic infrastructure like construction of roads, toilets, schools, hospitals, libraries, playgrounds and electricity.

The state government will also felicitate for issuing Aadhar card, ration card and bank loans for the people hailing from the villages identified under the Saansad Adarsh Gram Yojana.

The UP government will also work for providing pensions to old people, handicapped and widows. For all-round development in the adopted villages under the SAGY, the people will be encouraged for environment development and roadside plantation.

Chief secretary Alok Ranjan has instructed all the District Magistrates to submit the list of the villages chosen by respective MPs under the Saansad Adarsh Gram Yojana to the state government.

Under the SAGY, villages in plain areas having populace of 3000-5000 and hilly areas with the population of 1000-3000 will be proposed for development under the scheme.

Under this scheme all MPs would adopt three villages by 2019. They have been given deadline of 2016 for developing a village under the Saansad Adarsh Gram Yojana.
