Ambedkar Nagar: In yet another major jolt to the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) government in Uttar Pradesh, the state Lokayukta has received a complaint regarding misappropriation of assets by Transport Minister Ram Achal Rajbhar.
Akbarpur resident Ramarj Verma in a letter to the Lokayukta has pointed out that Rajbhar had a modest financial background before assuming the charge of state minister. According to the complaint, Rajbhar in the past few years has amassed massive wealth which included movable and immovable properties.

Verma further alleged that the Minister had purchased properties for his family members as well as close relatives.
In his 24-point complaint letter to the Lokayukta, Verma has given all the details of the alleged illegal properties accumulated by the Minister.

Meanwhile, Rajbhar has termed the allegations as baseless and politically motivated. He claimed that it was a part of a well-planned conspiracy to make a dent in his public image. According to the Minister, the complaint is vying for the BJP ticket in the forthcoming assembly election.

Earlier, the Lokayukta had received complaint against former state Finance Minister Lalji Verma and BSP MLA from Jhangirganj Tribhuvan Dutt.
