Farrukhabad: Family members who had filed the FIR against the Animal Husbandry and Dairy Development Minister in the Mayawati government Awadhpal Singh Yadav, who is accused in a triple murder case in Jaithra town of Etah district, have gone underground after receiving threats from the Minister and his supporters.

Taking advantage of the situation, the Samajwadi Party in the Assembly on Monday demanded the resignation of the Minister.

Jeweller Vijay Verma, his son Abhinav Verma and their security guard Santosh Yadav were killed in Verma's shop in Jaithra area of Etah district on June 10.
One of Verma’s sons had alleged that the Minister was involved in the murder case, however, he did not mention the name of the Minister in the FIR.

Sources said the supporters of the Minister had threatened the family members of the victims and forced for the settlement outside the court.

Sushila Yadav, mother of Santosh Yadav said, “After the incident, Samajwadi Party leader and MLAs came to console the family. On Sunday, four people came to the house and threatened to compromise with the Minister, which made Anurodh go underground.”

It has been learnt that there are many criminal cases lodged against Santosh Yadav family as well.
